Skate Canada is pleased to announce that Brampton, Ontario will host the 2010 BMO Skate Canada Synchronized Skating Championships. The event will be held at the Powerade Centre from March 4-6, 2010.
“We are very excited to be in back in Brampton for another great event,” said Skate Canada CEO William Thompson. “This competition brings a team atmosphere that is unlike any other sport. The enthusiastic fans generate cheers that can be heard outside the arena. With support like that, it’s no surprise that we have some of the best synchronized skating teams in the world.”

Approximately 90 skaters in women’s, men’s, pair and ice dance disciplines compete at the senior level at Canadians. The athletes will vie for spots on the Skate Canada National Team and the Canadian teams that will compete at the 2011 ISU World Figure Skating Championships and 2011 ISU Four Continents Figure Skating Championships. This event runs January 21-23, 2011.
