Moire and Virtue are the class of this event. As a pair they have significant quality to the blade and their long time together has resulted in the most refined unison of all the top teams. Scott is the most superior male skater which should be reflected in the marks -- he 'performs' as well as his partner -- exudes the same level of emotion and executes the difficult footwork as well. I don't think that's the case with the American or Russian teams. They are strong but Scott excells. I sincerely hope that they deliver what they are capable of in the original dance and free dance and that they are duley rewarded. The judges were generous in their marking of the Russian team in their compulsary dance but the quality of V&M's skating in the original dance should move them into first. Their footwork and lifts are superior and they always skate closer together which is more challenging. Go Canada!!
