I was not surprised by many of the results. I did not get to see Joannie's skates but her result was the one result that really surprised me. The other result that surprised me was that Evan won the men's event and not Nobinari Oda. Oda has proven that he is a really strong skater and his points were slightly surprising. I wish I could say that the second place finish for Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir surprised me, but it really didn't. Their skating ability is pretty much the exact same as the first place finishers/ team mates of Meryl Davis and Charlie White. I do feel, however, that Tessa and Scott have much more chemistry and work better together when they are on the ice. Meryl and Charlie's routines seem very "rushed", like they are chasing after each other and trying to somewhat out skate each other during their routines. They don't have the same connection and easy way to get the viewer into their programs like the Canadian team. Their programs actually pretty much give me whip-lash, not a really good dream.
